The joint biotechnology undergraduate education program between Xinxiang University and Pay Path University of the United States is approved by the Ministry of Education of China according to the “Regulations of Sino foreign cooperative education of People’s Republic China”(Approval No. MOE41US2A20171896N)

The program introduces the high quality education resources, advanced educational ideology and educational models of Bay Path University of the United States to promote our curriculum reform, to improve the international level of teachers and management, to connect closely with international education, to cultivate advanced professional and technical applied talents with strong, practical and innovative abilities and good professional ethics to easily adapt to the needs of the society with professional knowledge and basic skills.

In view of the educational advantages and social needs of both sides, based on the international teaching system, the program will introduce the core courses of foreign specialties. All the four years of study will be completed in China. Completed all the studies and the required credits, the qualified students will be awarded Undergraduate Certificate of Xinxiang University, and if they meet the requirements of the bachelor’s degree, they will be awarded the Bachelor’s Degree Certificate. After the first two years study in Xinxiang University, if some students meet the admission requirements of the Bay Path University, they can go to America to study by way of intercollegiate exchanges. If their scores are qualified, they can obtain the Bachelor’s Degree Certificate of Bay Path University. If their scores meet the admission requirements for master’s degree, they can study for a master’s degree. The program has been incorporated into the national general higher education enrollment plan, and will begin to enroll in 2018.

Biotechnology (Undergraduate)

Objective: To cultivate high-quality, inter-disciplinary and internationalized professional talents mastering scientific principles and technology about biotechnology and its industrialization, with basic theory, basic skills, with good scientific literacy, professional skills, English application and communication ability, with unique competitive advantage of employment.

Main courses: molecular biology, cell biology, genetic engineering, fermentation engineering and equipment, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, biotechnology, research on biotechnology project, etc.

Employment Direction: The graduates can work in enterprises, government-affiliated institutions and administrative departments to do design, production, management and new technology research in the fields of bioindustry, medicine, food, agriculture, forestry, environmental protection, gardening, etc.
