Mid-term Teaching Quality Check of Sino-US Joint Education Program Carried out by School of International Education

According to the requirements of the Sino-US Joint Education Programs and teaching arrangement in the university, the School of International Education carried out a one-week teaching quality check activity.

During May 18 to 21, Wang Dingjia and Liu Tao from the US Bay Path University China Office came to our university and carried a whole-course teaching quality follow-up check on seven foreign courses introduced from the Bay Path University including Bioscience, Biostatistics, Biotechnology Research Methods, Cell and Molecular Biology Experiment, Biochemistry Experiment, Microbiology and Experiment and Chemistry and Experiment. During the period, they checked classrooms and labs together with teaching management staff of the School of International Education, and held a video conference on online teaching of foreign courses. Teachers of 7 foreign courses exchanged and interacted with our university’s bilingual teachers and students on courseware and teaching plans. May 20 at 19:00, Jill, Vice President of Bay Patch University communicated and made discussions via online video with relevant teachers and students who major in biotechnology (joint school running) in the A05 Academic Lecture Hall, and answered questions students raised on foreign online teaching and application for postgraduate at Bay Path University.

May 23, the School of International Education launched an English teaching observation activity. During the observation, Prof Yun Deyu gave a lecture about reading and writing.

After one-week mid-term teaching quality check, we have conducted comprehensive check on the foreign online courses and teaching. Two sides made self check requirements of MOE programs evaluation and raised suggestions to improve the problems found.
