Meijian Chi, Director of International Department of Whitireia Community Polytechnic, New Zealand, visited our university

On June 13th, 2016, Meijian Chi, Director of International Department of Whitireia Community Polytechnic, New Zealand, along with Wang Tao, CEO of Hua Zhi Education Group visited our university. Chen Yehong, vice-president and Zhou Yong, Dean of School of International Education and Exchange, etc. attended the meeting.

President Chen extended a warm welcome to delegates on behalf Xinxiang University, and introduced the status of our university, major setup and international cooperation. Meijian Chi introduced culture and geography of New Zealand, and expatiated major, main courses, teachers and campus environment of Whitireia. Both sides agreed upon the high integration degree between each others’ courses, which opened a big space for further cooperation. Through this meeting, both sides agreed upon an initial cooperation intention on “2+1+1” or “3+0” model, short-term teachers training, and other possible cooperation. After the meeting, President Chen, Dean Zhou and other personnel accompanied Meijian Chi group to visit History Room of our University and they gave a high praise to our achievements.

The visit of Meijian Chi group laid a solid foundation to cultivate highly qualified and competitive talents with international horizon, which will inevitably facilitate the development of teaching, scientific research, studying abroad of both sides.
