On the afternoon of April 28, the final of the Foreign Language Talent Contest under the theme“Telling China’s Stories Well, Spreading China’s Voice Well”was held in Conference Room A04-106. The event was organized by the Youth League Committee of Xinxiang University and co-hosted by the School of International Education and the School of Nursing. After several rounds of selection, 20 outstanding teams from across the university stood out and gathered at the final to compete and showcase their talents.
The final was marked by a lively and splendid atmosphere. The participants demonstrated great creativity, blending foreign language art with stage performance through diverse forms such as stage plays, recitations, and speeches. With vivid expression and heartfelt emotion, they interpreted the profound heritage of China’s stories and conveyed the unique charm of China’s voice, earning rounds of applause from the judges and the audience. The judging panel for the final consisted of Ms. Wang Xunli from the School of Foreign Languages, Mr. Xu Zhenshan from the School of Nursing, Ms. Tang Lin and Mr. Chang Chengcheng from the School of International Education, and foreign teacher Ms. Lida, ensuring a fair, just, and professional evaluation.
During the comments session, Ms. Wang Xunli delivered a summary evaluation on behalf of the judging panel. She highly commended the performance of all participants, noting that their solid foreign language skills, innovative forms of expression, and sincere emotional investment fully demonstrated the contemporary youth’s deep understanding of linguistic art, as well as their excellent cross-cultural communication abilities and youthful vitality.
The successful holding of this foreign language talent contest not only provided a high-quality platform for Xinxiang University students to showcase their foreign language proficiency and exchange cultural ideas, but also highlighted the students’solid linguistic competence, innovative thinking, and strong cultural confidence, injecting fresh energy into campus culture. Looking ahead, the university will continue to deepen the philosophy of“promoting learning and cultivating talents through competition,”actively explore innovative paths integrating traditional culture with foreign languages, fully leverage its educational strengths, empower language education, and strive to cultivate more versatile talents who can meet the needs of future social development.
