On the afternoon of April 22, 2026, the School of International Education held its 2026 Graduates Commendation Conference for Postgraduate Admissions and High-Quality Employment in Room A04-104. Attendees included Zhou Yong, Party Secretary of the School of International Education; Li Juan, Dean of the School; Du Chuan, Associate Dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; Dr. Liu Bing; Dr. Li Peng from the School of Bioengineering; Liu Yana, Associate Dean of the School of International Education; Chang Chengcheng, graduating class counselor; and student representatives. The conference was chaired by Chang Chengcheng.
Dean Li Juan read out the list of 2026 outstanding graduates and reported on the situation regarding postgraduate admissions and high-quality employment: Among the 114 graduates majoring in Biotechnology, 52 have been admitted to postgraduate programs (domestic or overseas), representing an admission rate of 45.6%. Among the 113 graduates majoring in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, 37 have been admitted to postgraduate programs (domestic or overseas), representing an admission rate of 32.7%.
Outstanding graduate representatives delivered speeches, reviewing their four years of growth on campus, sharing their journeys of goal setting, study planning, and mental adjustment, and expressing gratitude to the school for its meticulous cultivation.
Party Secretary Zhou Yong extended congratulations to the 2026 graduates for their outstanding achievements and offered four hopes for those about to embark on new journeys: First, to steadfastly uphold their convictions, follow the Party’s leadership and guidance as a lifelong pursuit, and integrate personal aspirations into the nation’s development. Second, to cultivate a proper view of employment, plan careers with a long-term perspective, and realize life value through practice. Third, to embrace lifelong learning, maintain a passion for knowledge, and continuously enhance professional competence and innovative ability. Fourth, not to be discouraged by temporary successes or failures, but to run their own wonderful life with enduring perseverance. He encouraged students to continue pursuing excellence on their new platforms and to frequently return to visit their alma mater.
The commendation conference not only served as a collective recognition of the 2026 graduates who have achieved postgraduate admissions or high-quality employment, but also injected new momentum into the school’s efforts to foster academic excellence and enhance talent cultivation quality.
