At 10:00 a.m. on April 10, a delegation led by Julian Becker, Vice President of New Zealand College of Education, held an online education exchange meeting with Xinxiang University. Vice President Han Hui attended the meeting, along with representatives from the Foreign Affairs Office, the International Education College, the School of Economics, and other departments and schools. The meeting was chaired by Li Juan, Dean of the International Education College.
During the meeting, Vice President Han Hui provided a detailed overview of Xinxiang University’s history, academic programs, talent cultivation, and international exchanges and cooperation. She highlighted the broad prospects for educational cooperation between China and New Zealand, noting that this presents a valuable opportunity to build bridges and deepen collaboration between the two institutions.
Julian Becker focused on introducing the history, disciplinary strengths, and future development plans of New Zealand College of Education, expressing a strong desire to establish comprehensive and in-depth cooperative relations with Xinxiang University.
Following productive and in-depth discussions, the two institutions reached a high degree of consensus on their willingness to cooperate and signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Xinxiang University and New Zealand College of Education.
New Zealand College of Education operates multiple campuses in Auckland and Hamilton, with a solid educational foundation and notable strengths in applied talent cultivation and curriculum system development. The college has the authority to award bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and its international education cooperation projects cover many countries and regions, enjoying a strong international reputation.
This online exchange facilitated communication regarding cooperation between the two institutions, not only enhancing mutual understanding and friendship but also laying a solid foundation for future collaboration. The signing of the MoU marks a clear consensus within the cooperative framework, paving the way for joint efforts in areas such as faculty and student exchanges, curriculum development, joint training programs, and academic seminars.
