To assist students in accurately grasping the key points of the re-examination and navigating the adjustment process effectively, the International Education College held a guidance meeting on postgraduate re-examination and adjustment on the afternoon of March 24 in Classroom A04-104. Attendees included Zhang Jiayang, Associate Dean of the School of Biological Engineering, Dr. Li Peng; Du Chuan, Associate Dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Dr. Liu Bing; Liu Yana, Associate Dean of the International Education College; Chang Chengcheng, graduating class advisor; and over 40 student representatives preparing for the postgraduate entrance exams. The meeting was chaired by Chang Chengcheng.
At the meeting, the faculty members, drawing on their disciplinary expertise and extensive experience in postgraduate supervision, provided systematic and detailed guidance on the re-examination process, interview techniques, presentation of professional competencies, and adjustment information. Using concrete examples, they offered an in-depth analysis of common challenges and coping strategies during the re-examination, helping students clarify their thinking and identify the right direction.
Afterwards, students engaged in one-on-one consultations with the faculty based on their chosen institutions, preliminary exam scores, and academic directions. The four instructors provided personalized and actionable advice tailored to the re-examination characteristics of different universities, students’score ranges, and cross-disciplinary adjustment considerations.
This guidance meeting not only delivered timely and precise support to students pursuing postgraduate studies but also embodied the college’s student-centered philosophy and collaborative education approach. Moving forward, the International Education College will continue to uphold the fundamental mission of fostering virtue and deepening its student-oriented educational concept.
