On May 27th, the annual meeting of the Management Committee for the undergraduate education program in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, jointly run by Xinxiang University (China) and Brest State Technical University (Belarus), was successfully held. Wang Xiaojun, President of Xinxiang University and Director of the Management Committee, presided over the meeting. Sergei Antonovich KASPEROVICH, Rector of Brest State Technical University and Deputy Director of the Management Committee, along with Vice President Han Hui and his delegation currently visiting Belarus, participated online. Relevant personnel from the International Education College and the School of Mechatronic Engineering attended the meeting.
Wang Xiaojun expressed gratitude to Brest State Technical University for its efforts in ensuring the smooth operation of the cooperative education program. He pointed out that this program has a solid foundation and has yielded fruitful results, serving as a significant landmark achievement in Xinxiang University's international exchanges and cooperation. It has built a robust platform for educational collaboration between the two institutions and further deepened their profound friendship. Both sides will aim to create a high-quality Sino-foreign cooperative education program, continuously strengthen its intrinsic development, promote its high-quality advancement, further expand multi-field, deep-level, and enduring exchanges and cooperation, and pave the way for a new chapter in China-Belarus educational collaboration.
In his address, Sergei Antonovich KASPEROVICH responded that the ties between China and Belarus have grown increasingly close with the advancement of the Belt and Road Initiative. Brest State Technical University highly values the operation and development of the cooperative education program with Xinxiang University. He stated that the agreement signed today on jointly establishing an international science laboratory would also strengthen collaboration between the two sides in scientific research and innovation. He expressed the hope for continued pleasant cooperation and anticipated jointly exploring more opportunities and achieving greater progress.
Han Hui, on behalf of Xinxiang University, signed the agreement for the Joint International Scientific Laboratory with Brest State Technical University. The meeting heard a report from Li Juan on the program's operation in 2024 and key tasks for 2025. Discussions covered various aspects of the cooperative program, including Party building, teaching operations, faculty allocation, student and faculty exchanges, joint cultivation, laboratory construction, and logistical support. The meeting fully affirmed the work accomplished in 2024 and reached a high degree of consensus on the key tasks for 2025. Members of the Management Committee expressed their commitment to further sharing high-quality educational resources, elevating the educational cooperation between the two universities to a higher level, and creating a new landscape for China-Belarus educational exchanges and cooperation.
It was reported that upon the arrival of Han Hui and his delegation at Brest State Technical University in Belarus, they received a warm and grand reception from their foreign counterparts. The host university held a grand welcome ceremony. Subsequently, the foreign side meticulously arranged a campus tour, leading Han Hui's delegation to gain an in-depth understanding of the university's history, culture, discipline development, and scientific research achievements. Both sides exchanged views openly during the communication process, further enhancing mutual understanding and trust. In a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, personnel from both universities engaged in in-depth discussions on future cooperation directions, laying a more solid foundation for subsequent collaboration.
