Xinxiang University Holds Farewell Ceremony for Foreign Teachers in Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Programs

On the afternoon of November 19, the university hosted a farewell ceremony titled "Friendship Endures Forever" in Classroom A04-106 to bid farewell to four foreign teachers, including Omes Dmitry Vladimirovich, who were returning to their home countries. Vice President Han Hui attended the event, along with Wei Shuangfei, Director of the International Office; Zhang Qingmin, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office; Du Chuan, Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; Liu Ya’na, Vice Dean of the International Education College; and student and faculty representatives. The ceremony was presided over by Li Juan, Dean of the International Education College.

In his speech, Vice President Han Hui expressed:

Gratitude: He thanked the foreign teachers for traveling far to contribute unique and invaluable teaching experiences. Their presence not only enriched academic perspectives but also fostered multicultural exchange, which holds immeasurable value in broadening students’ horizons and enhancing international understanding.

Invitation: He invited more faculty and leaders from Belarusian institutions, such as Brest State Technical University, to visit and collaborate.

Aspiration: He expressed hope for deeper cooperation between the universities across academic, cultural, and artistic domains.

Blessings: He wished the teachers a safe journey and a future filled with joy, emphasizing that the friendship forged would remain as warm and enduring as sunlight.

Foreign teacher Omes Dmitry Vladimirovich shared heartfelt remarks, stating that they deeply appreciated the support and care from university leaders, colleagues, and students during their stay. He expressed gratitude to China and Xinxiang University for the opportunity to contribute to the Sino-foreign cooperative programs and cherished the friendships formed. He extended wishes for the university’s continued success in research, talent cultivation, and the students’ bright futures.

Vice President Han Hui presented commemorative gifts to the foreign teachers, while Wei Shuangfei, Zhang Qingmin, and Du Chuan offered letters of appreciation. Attendees also enjoyed cultural performances prepared by students from the International Education College.

Since the approval of the China-Belarus cooperative education program, the university has continuously strengthened teaching of foreign courses, management of international faculty, and academic collaboration. These efforts have enhanced the quality of Sino-Belarusian educational cooperation and elevated the university’s global engagement.
