As the 2025 National Postgraduate Entrance Examination approaches, to boost the confidence and morale of students preparing for the exam, the International Education College held the 2025 Postgraduate Entrance Examination Promotion Meeting and 2024 Student Activities Award Ceremony in Conference Room A04-104 on November 21. Attendees included Zhang Jiayang, Vice Dean of the School of Biological Engineering; Du Chuan, Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; Yan Chicheng, Deputy Party Secretary of the International Education College; Dr. Li Peng from the School of Biological Engineering; and student representatives. The meeting was chaired by Vice Dean Liu Ya’na.
Zhang Jiayang, representing the School of Biological Engineering, expressed sincere care and encouragement for the examinees, commending their perseverance and determination. He shared successful postgraduate admission experiences of outstanding alumni to inspire students to face the challenges with unwavering confidence, thorough preparation, and optimal readiness.
Du Chuan drew from his personal experiences to emphasize the importance of academic competitions and offered three key suggestions: first, "strengthen belief" by staying committed to goals and dedicating full effort to the final sprint; second, "focus on strategies" by creating reasonable study plans to enhance efficiency; and third, "enhance physical fitness" by balancing work and rest to maintain physical and mental health.
Dr. Li Peng, combining his own postgraduate exam and career experiences, advised students to recognize the evolving trends in postgraduate admissions and cultivate self-assurance. He proposed three recommendations: First, "pursuing dreams in postgraduate exams requires firm belief and clear goals." He urged students to define their objectives, overcome obstacles, and reach their aspirations. Second, "building dreams demands relentless accumulation and effort." He encouraged students to self-reflect, adopt effective learning methods, formulate scientific plans, and build confidence through preparation. Third, "realizing dreams necessitates sustained optimism and perseverance." He emphasized maintaining a positive mindset, staying healthy, and tackling challenges calmly.
Yan Chicheng announced the Decision of the International Education College on the Recognition of 2024 Student Activities and extended wishes for 2025 examinees to achieve their goals and succeed in their first attempt.
After the meeting, 2025 postgraduate candidates received carefully prepared "exam support packages" from the college.
