University Student Affairs Office Conducts In-Depth Research and Guidance on Student Work at International Education School

On April 25, to further enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of student work and promote its high-quality development, Wang Kun, Director of the University Student Affairs Office, and Jia Xiaomeng, Deputy Director, along with a delegation of five, visited the International Education College for a special research session on student affairs. Zhou Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the International Education College, Yan Chicheng, Deputy Secretary, Chen Bo, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, and all full-time and part-time counselors participated in the meeting.

Zhou Yong warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the college’s program setup, student population, and recent progress in ideological and political education, management of four key student groups, academic atmosphere development, and the creation of student work initiatives. He also highlighted existing challenges and proposed improvement measures and future plans.

After listening to the report, Wang Kun acknowledged the college’s achievements in student work. He noted that the International Education College has closely aligned with the university’s core objectives, adopted innovative approaches, and implemented practical measures. He also offered guidance on enhancing counselor team development, innovating student management, and improving the mental health education system. Additionally, he encouraged the college to leverage its strengths and continue exploring new practices to foster a better environment for student growth.

In recent years, the International Education College has adhered to the fundamental mission of "cultivating morality and nurturing talent," comprehensively advancing the "Three All-Round Educations" and the "Five-Education Integration" . The college has achieved notable results in student safety and stability, academic development, mental health education, career planning, and employment. Among the 115 graduates of the Class of 2025, 51 have been admitted to postgraduate programs at domestic universities, representing an admission rate of 44.35%.
