To thoroughly implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the National Education Conference, we are committed to advancing high-level opening-up in education and fostering a new landscape of international educational exchange and cooperation that is comprehensive, multi-tiered, and wide-ranging. On April 11, the 2025 China Study Abroad Forum, held at the Beijing National Convention Center, will take "Quality, Trust, and Safety: Sustainable Development of Study Abroad Education" as its theme, focusing on three core elements of study abroad education through innovative design, comprehensive discussions, and extensive exchanges. That afternoon, a supporting thematic exchange event titled "Talent Development and Employment—Innovative Practices in Future Talent Cultivation Between China and Australia (Queensland)" (hereinafter referred to as the "China-Australia Queensland Seminar") will be held at the same venue. Vice President Han Hui of Xinxiang University, Dean Li Juan of the International Education College, Director Wei Shuangfei of the Foreign Affairs Office, and Deputy Director Lu Jing of the Foreign Affairs Office attended the event.
The seminar focused on cultivating talent with comprehensive qualities and technical capabilities, deepening cooperation between China and Australia (Queensland) in talent development and employment, and promoting innovative practices in future talent cultivation. Representatives from institutions in China and Australia (Queensland) seized the opportunity to discuss how universities can better support and enhance students' employability, create more opportunities for students to engage with enterprises, and facilitate a smoother transition from campus to the workplace. Nearly 120 representatives from institutions, enterprises, and graduates in China and Australia (Queensland), including the Australian Embassy in China, the Queensland Government, the University of Queensland, the University of Southern Queensland, TAFE Queensland, James Cook University, and Griffith University, participated in various forms of discussions and exchanges around the theme.
The deepening of educational cooperation between China and Australia holds significant importance for promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding. The forum provided an important platform for our university to showcase its achievements in international education and expand its global cooperation network. Looking ahead, our university will continue to collaborate with overseas institutions to actively promote international exchange and cooperation, contributing wisdom and strength to cultivating more outstanding talents with a global perspective and jointly writing a new chapter in international education.
