School of International Education Holds 2024 Winter Warmth Campaign

To further support students from economically disadvantaged families and implement the "Targeted Assistance" policy, the College of International Education held the 2024 Winter Warmth Campaign in Conference Room A04-102 on November 24. Attendees included Yan Chicheng, Deputy Party Secretary of the college; Chen Bo, Secretary of the Youth League Committee; counselors from various grades; and student representatives from financially challenged families.

At the event, several student representatives shared their academic experiences and learning progress since enrollment. Deputy Secretary Yan Chicheng patiently addressed each student’s academic and daily life challenges, encouraging them to adapt to new environments and learning modes while fostering strong study habits. He emphasized that current difficulties are temporary and surmountable, urging students to seek help from counselors whenever needed. The college pledged full support to assist students in overcoming hardships. Yan also motivated attendees to seize opportunities in this promising era, acquire genuine knowledge and skills, and strive to change their destinies through hard work, as "happiness is earned through perseverance." At the conclusion of the event, college leaders distributed winter care packages to students and inquired about their living and academic conditions.
