On September 7, the College of International Education warmly welcomed its 2024 freshmen. Faculty and students worked together through meticulous planning, scientific arrangements, and thorough implementation to ensure a smooth and heartwarming orientation, setting the stage for the newcomers’ exciting university journey.

The college’s Party Committee placed high importance on the 2024 orientation. Starting from the summer break, the college coordinated preparations, formulated detailed plans, and optimized procedures to make registration more convenient and welcoming. During the summer, online platforms such as QQ groups were utilized to gather information about incoming students, categorize needs, provide guidance, and address inquiries in advance.

On registration day, Sun Gongqi, Secretary of the University Party Committee, along with Vice Presidents Han Hui, Zhang Yintang, Chen Leishan, and Zhao Weijie, visited the college’s orientation site to engage with freshmen and parents. College leaders, including Party Secretary Zhou Yong, Dean Li Juan, and Deputy Secretary Yan Chicheng, also toured the venue to check on students’ adaptation, understand their academic and living needs, and encourage them to plan their university life wisely, striving to become ambitious, responsible, and resilient individuals of the new era.

The orientation featured creative activities, such as a heart-shaped word cloud wall displaying all freshmen’s names. Interactive events like the“Bustling Crowd, Falling for the‘New’”signature wall and the“Heartbeat for the‘New,’Embarking on a Journey”photo booth immersed students in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, showcasing the college’s unique warmth.

The college also prepared customized welcome kits, including IP-themed tote bags, phone stands, power banks, and other practical yet adorable items, which received unanimous praise from freshmen.
