On November 11, the Third Russian Speech Contest, hosted by the China-Russia Cooperative Education Institutions Alliance and organized by Weinan Normal University, concluded successfully. The competition attracted over 100 outstanding students from 46 universities across China participating in Sino-Russian cooperative education programs. Notably, this marked the first participation of students from our college. Shen Haodong, a 2022 undergraduate majoring in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, and Automation (Cooperative Education Program), stood out and secured the third prize in the senior division.
This achievement reflects the college leadership’s emphasis on holistic student development. From the preparation phase, Dean Li Juan actively coordinated resources to provide optimal training conditions for the participants. Vice Dean Liu Ya’na arranged for Russian language instructor Li Jiaojiao to guide students in refining their speech content and pronunciation. Counselor Chang Chengcheng accompanied the students during daily practice sessions. Additionally, teachers Zhao Guomei and Su Wujiang provided coaching on stage performance techniques and psychological readiness, ensuring our students showcased their best capabilities during the competition.
This contest served as a vivid demonstration of the achievements in China-Russia cooperative education. It not only provided a platform for our students to exchange ideas with peers from other institutions but also broadened their international perspectives. Building on this success, our college will further strengthen international education and promote the high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperative programs, cultivating more talents with global vision and exceptional competencies for the nation.
