School of International Education Holds Exchange Seminar on Cooperative Education Programs

On the afternoon of June 5, the College of International Education held an exchange seminar on cooperative education programs with Beijing Gaoshideng Consulting Co., Ltd. in Conference Room A04-104. Gao Yongmei, Director of Beijing Gaoshideng Consulting Co., Ltd., and her delegation attended the meeting. Participants from our university included Zhang Shengli, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Humanities; Li Juan, Dean of the College of International Education; Zhao Peng, Vice Dean; and Zhao Guomei, Teaching and Research Secretary. The meeting was chaired by Dean Li Juan.

Dean Li Juan first introduced the operation of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs at our university and the future development plans of the College of International Education. Director Gao Yongmei shared the company’s achievements in recent years in international education, education investment, industry-academia collaboration, study tours, and research programs. Subsequently, the two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on potential cooperation opportunities and reached multiple consensus points.

Beijing Gaoshideng Consulting Co., Ltd. is a wholly state-owned enterprise affiliated with the Service Bureau for Diplomatic Missions and Institutions Abroad under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. Established in 2000, the company initially focused on facilitating secure and efficient overseas exchanges for personnel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managing related assets. Since 2008, in response to the internationalization of education, the company has collaborated with prestigious domestic "985/211" universities and world-renowned institutions to promote international innovative talent cultivation through inter-university study abroad services and joint discipline development. To date, the company has facilitated Sino-foreign cooperative education programs in dozens of countries, including the UK, Australia, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Greece, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Switzerland, and the United States.

In closing, Dean Li Juan expressed hope for establishing a strong collaborative relationship moving forward. She emphasized the importance of timely access to information on cooperative education programs, study abroad opportunities, and embassy visa policies, aiming to cultivate globally competitive interdisciplinary talents and further elevate the quality of the university’s Sino-foreign cooperative education initiatives.
