To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, further strengthen Party spirit education for grassroots Party organizations, and enhance the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the Party member team, the Faculty Party Branch of the International EducationSchoolorganized a themed Party Day activity titled "Stay True to the Original Mission, Continue the Red Legacy."
At the Former Residence of Yang Gui in Luoquan Village, Party members, filled with reverence, carefully reviewed precious historical materials, tracing the glorious era of over six decades ago through weathered newspapers covering the walls. At each site, they solemnly observed artifacts, photographs, and documents, listened to moving stories about former Secretary Yang Gui, revisited the arduous years of the past, and deeply absorbed the great spirit of Secretary Yang leading the people of Lin County in the heroic construction of the Red Flag Canal, as well as the hard-won nature of today’s prosperous life.
Subsequently, the group visited the Taihang Eighth Route Army Anti-Japanese War Exhibition Hall. The exhibition hall systematically presents the Eighth Route Army’s resistance journey in the Taihang region through six sections: "National Crisis: Northern Henan’s Fall," "United in Hatred: Rise to Resist," "Establishing Base Areas, Waging Guerrilla Warfare," "Covert Struggles, Overcoming Hardships," "Reclaiming Old Territories, Launching Partial Counterattacks," and "Full-Scale Counteroffensive, Securing Victory." Through detailed historical records, rare artifacts, and vivid scene reconstructions, the heroic deeds of Eighth Route Army soldiers and Taihang civilians fighting side by side with unyielding resolve were brought to life.
During the learning process, Party members listened attentively to the docent’s explanations, examined each exhibit closely, and engaged in frequent discussions. They profoundly recognized that both Comrade Yang Gui’s endeavors in leading the masses to conquer nature and the Eighth Route Army’s resistance history in the Taihang Mountains exemplify the unwavering ideals and convictions, tenacious revolutionary will, and selfless dedication of Chinese Communists.
This themed Party Day activity provided all participants with profound Party spirit education and spiritual purification. Everyone expressed their resolve to follow Comrade Yang Gui’s example, draw inspiration from the Eighth Route Army’s resistance spirit, continuously improve their Party spirit, fully leverage their vanguard and exemplary roles in work, and advance all tasks with firmer faith, more pragmatic conduct, and heightened enthusiasm, contributing to the high-quality development of our university’s Sino-foreign cooperative education programs.
