To further enhance the fire safety awareness of faculty and students and improve their emergency response capabilities to sudden fire incidents, the College of International Education organized a fire safety training session and practical drill on the afternoon of March 18 in Rooms A04-106 and A04-104. The event was guided by Instructor Du Tong from the Henan Provincial Fire Association, with participation from all faculty and students of the college.
Instructor Du Tong analyzed the causes of various types of fires through recent typical case studies, supported by statistics, images, and videos. He summarized preventive measures and fire escape techniques, while also providing detailed explanations on the use of fire extinguishers and protective equipment.
Following the theoretical training, the session transitioned to practical exercises. The university’s security department organized a fire extinguisher application training. Under Instructor Du’s guidance, students were divided into groups to learn the correct usage of fire extinguishers, with each step meticulously demonstrated and practiced.
After the training, Zhou Yong, Party Secretary of theSchool, emphasized the critical importance and urgency of fire safety preparedness, reiterating the necessity of such training initiatives.
This fire safety training and drill significantly strengthened the fire safety awareness of all participants, enhanced their capabilities for efficient and orderly evacuation and initial fire emergency response, and provided robust support for building a safer campus environment.
