On the evening of December 30, the School of International Education held the "Building Dreams for the Future" 2025 New Year Gala in the East Auditorium on the first floor of the Administration Building. Over 300 attendees, including faculty, students, and representatives of foreign teachers, gathered to celebrate the upcoming New Year.
At the opening of the gala, Dean Li Juan delivered a heartfelt speech on behalf of the school, expressing deep gratitude to the dedicated faculty and extending New Year’s blessings to all. She reflected on the school’s achievements over the past year across six key areas: party building as the guide, advancing Sino-foreign cooperative education, improving teaching quality and talent cultivation, and achievements in academic competitions. Looking ahead, she urged the school community to strive for greater heights and collaborate to achieve new milestones in the coming year. The school will further expand international partnerships, introduce top-tier educational resources, and pave a golden path for students to connect with the world. She also encouraged students to "soar like the roc with the wind, ascending ninety thousand miles," overcoming challenges in their academic journey to become bridges linking China and the world.
The gala featured 16 dazzling performances across three segments, including dances, songs, instrumental performances, and skits, showcasing the talent and youthful energy of the school’s faculty and students. The audience responded with thunderous applause and cheers throughout the event.
The climax of the evening came with a chamber music ensemble led by Fu Li, a faculty member of the School of International Education, joined by piano instructors from the School of Music at Henan University of Economics and Law and members of the Xinxiang Western Orchestra. They performed a medley of Chinese classical pieces, electrifying the atmosphere.
The finale featured students from the Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, and Automation (Cooperative Program) singing a traditional Russian song in Russian. This performance symbolized the profound friendship between the School of International Education and its partner universities while expressing heartfelt blessings for the nation and boundless hopes for the school’s future.
The gala not only strengthened bonds between faculty and students but also highlighted the school’s vibrant campus culture and positive spirit. In the new year, we look forward to more inspiring moments and working together to write new chapters in the school’s development.
