In accordance with the Notice on Organizing the 9th "Challenge Cup" Xinxiang University College Student Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition, and to further enhance the scientific research capabilities of faculty and students, stimulate innovative spirit, foster a strong academic and research atmosphere, and select outstanding works for the university-level competition, the International Education College successfully held the "Challenge Cup" selection competition in Classrooms A104-106 on the afternoon of March 11. The event invited Vice Dean Liu Ya’na of the International EducationSchool, and professors Xiao Miaoxin and Zhang Ye from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering as judges.
Since the launch of the competition, the college has mobilized students from various majors to participate actively. After preliminary design, demonstration, and simulation, three teams advanced to the selection round. The entries covered multiple research fields, including innovative crane design and automated mechanical design. During the competition, each team showcased their projects through impressive presentations and rigorous Q&A sessions, fully demonstrating the profound research foundation and solid professional competence of the students. The judges attentively reviewed each work, providing constructive feedback and practical revision suggestions based on criteria such as innovativeness, technical difficulty, and feasibility.
This competition not only provided students with a platform to showcase their talents but also ignited their enthusiasm and confidence in scientific innovation and practical training. The International Education College will continue to uphold the philosophy of "promoting learning and research through competitions," refine the innovation and entrepreneurship education system, further enhance the scientific research and practical capabilities of faculty and students, strengthen innovation in education, and strive to compose a youthful chapter of contributing to Chinese-style modernization.
