On the afternoon of May 31, the 2022 Henan Safe Study Abroad pre-departure training meeting for international students was held in Zhengzhou, where Diao Yuhua, member of the Party group, a first-level inspector and Deputy Director of Henan Department of Education, and Huang Liqiong, Director of Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange International Office under the Ministry of Education, attended the meeting and made speeches. Dai Shuangming, Counselor of the Consular Protection Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prof Li Tonggui, Director of the Training Department of the School of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences of Peking University, and Wang Xuejun, expert in international security education, were invited to give lectures. More than 20 people including the School’s management, instructors and students planning to go abroad for postgraduate studies participated in the training meeting online.

With the theme "Studying abroad, Serving the country", the meeting aimed to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC and the 2022 National Education Work Conference, and it focused on the strategy of strengthening the country by talents in the new era to promote high-quality study abroad, consolidate and improve the special work mechanism for pre-departure training for study abroad, improving capabilities and effectively doing what we can in the training for study abroad.
