Recently, Henan Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Youth League, Henan Department of Education and other departments have jointly issued documents, announcing awards for the 2022 "Challenge Cup" Henan College Students Start-up Plan Competition. Among them, the cooperative programs where our students participated have been granted 1 gold prize and 2 bronze prizes at the provincial level, and out university was the only winner of the gold prize.
The Challenge Cup is a nation-wide extracurricular academic practice competition for college students co-sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education and the All-China Federation of Students. It is called an Olympic event for Chinese college students' technical innovation and start-up in the country, the most popular nation-wide competition attracting college students at home, which is characterized of being representative, authoritative, exemplary and oriented.
Since the "Challenge Cup" Henan College Students Start-up Plan Competition was launched, it has been highly valued by leaders of the School and highly supported by other departments. Before the event, our School had carried out wide publicity and mobilization, connecting with special instructors and organizing student to apply. After the preliminary competition, finals and program cultivation in the school, a total of 3 works were selected out of 143 entries in the school, which were recommended to participate in the 2022 "Challenge Cup" Henan University Students Start-up Plan Competition.
The competition has attracted eyeballs of leaders from the university and schools, during the competition, the school leaders solved problems for the participating teams and instructed competition many times. In recent years, the School of International Education has attached great importance to the development of the 2nd classroom activities as innovation and start-up of college students, implementing "five educations simultaneously" into the whole process of education and teaching. The honor obtained this time is a full affirmation of the School's innovation and start-up education. Next, the School will further improve students' innovative spirits and abilities, and constantly build higher platforms for the students in innovation and start-up.
