With the launch of the education activity themed “Stay true to the Party's original aspiration and the founding mission”, during Oct 18 to 20, 2019, the School of International Education the Party Branch carried out Theme Party Day activities in Xinxian County, themed "Carry forward the revolutionary spirit and strengthen ideals and beliefs" in order to touch the red culture and learn the revolutionary spirit.
Xinxian County, the hometown of the Red Army, is a cradle of generals. Under the leadership of Prof Guo Bing, Secretary of the Party branch, we have successively visited the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area Martyrs Cemetery, Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area Revolutionary Museum, the 4th Front Red Army Soldiers Memorial Hall and the hometown of General Xu Shiyou. The Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area Martyrs Cemetery is to commemorate more than 130,000 revolutionary martyrs, which reflects the brilliant history of and great achievements made by the heroic people in Hubei, Henan, and Anhui under the leadership of the Party from the Great Revolution to the founding of New China. The Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area Revolutionary Museum shows the revolutionary history from the initial formation of the base area for Hubei, Henan, Anhui to the great victory of "Three Anti-Encirclement and Suppression", to the overall victory of the National Anti-Japanese War, reproducing the shocking battle scene of that year. The 4th Front Red Army Soldiers Memorial Hall reflects the activities and achievements of the army in Hubei, Henan and Anhui. The hometown of General Xu Shiyou records the general's experiences in different periods, reflecting his life in the military, illustrious battle achievements, caring for the hardworking people, hardship and simplicity, as well as his unyielding loyalty to the Party and the revolutionary cause.
Through the theme Party day activities, everyone has benefited a lot and further learned the revolutionary spirit of selfless dedication and heroic dedication of revolutionary predecessors. To cherish the moment, we should further inherit and carry forward the heroic achievements, give full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of the Communist Party members, and strive to be “Four Points” good teachers.
