On November 15th, 2016, Mars, director of SEGI University, China office, was invited to give a lecture named “Malaysia, Where Asian Glamour lies, Helps to Realize Your Dream of Study Abroad” in Building A14, Room 520.

First of all, Mars introduced the location, the history and advantage of SEGI University. SEGI is short for Sysmatic Education Group International, founded in 1977. The first college of SEGI is located at the center of Kuala Lumpur, offering professional qualification. Degrees issued by SEGI are accredited by CSCSE of Chinese Ministry of Education. In 2003 and 2010, Kuala Lumpur campus and KD campus were successively listed as Recommended Foreign Universities for Chinese Students by Chinese Ministry of Education.

Then, Mars introduced the properties of “College Upgrading Program” and “Undergraduate Upgrading Program”: 1. Short period of time: different campuses of SEGI apply credits transfer program to save overseas study time. 2. High passing rate: SEGI evaluate students through their daily performance and homework. 4. Low entrance requirements: different campuses of SEGI require the IELTS 5.5 or none. 5. Low tuition fee: SEGI requires 20-30 thousand Yuan RMB per year for college upgrading and 50-80 thousand Yuan RMB for undergraduate upgrading, which is affordable for wage-earning class. Study in SEGI is the lowest cost for students in English-speaking countries.

This lecture has enhanced the students’ understanding of studying in SEGI, expanded their international horizon and offered practical information for future study. 78 students from Business School, Computer and Information Engineering College, School of International Education of Xinxiang University took part in the program introduction lecture.
